Omega Beliefs

It is important to orient potential readers of the OMEGA Advanced Discipleship books to the doctrinal beliefs that inform OMEGA. The author of OMEGA is a conservative evangelical committed to the orthodox teachings of the church.  He views Scripture as inerrant in the original autographs, confluently given (a product of two free agents, human and divine), written with plenary verbal inspiration, and authoritative for belief and behavior. Rather than offer a complete statement of faith, perhaps this orientation is more effectively communicated by identifying the authors more frequently quoted in these books. Although more than four hundred authors are quoted in this series, the more prominent among them are A.W. Tozer, Andrew Murray, Martin Lloyd-Jones, A.B. Simpson, G.D. Watson, Charles Spurgeon, F.B. Meyer, E.M. Bounds, C.S. Lewis, Jessie Penn-Lewis, Alexander Maclaren, Oswald Chambers and, among contemporary writers: John MacArthur, Jay Adams, David Needham, and J.I. Packer.
